Lets meet! Lets chat! Lets pray together!

Next summer, July of 2013 on my way to World Youth Day Rio, I will first be (God willing) going back to Lima, Peru! I have seen an immense poverty in living situations, education, and especially love. Thankfully, with help from some of you, I had that experience, and it changed my life. I do feel like I need to go back, and to serve Christ in the face of His poor, and of His children. This time we will be building in an extremely poor shanty town in Lima - funds would help us not only get there, but get materials to be able to build and hopefully with left overs, help in any way we can. Last summer, in July of 2011 with some friends in the Christian Life Movement, I witnessed one small room in an entire shanty town which was a “classroom” for the hundreds and hundreds of kids living in it. They don’t go to “school” after around the age of 5 or 6. They are in great need. I pray you find it in your heart to help us make this happen, I thank you for your help in the past, and I will keep you and all of your intentions in my prayers!

Tumblr Catholics! Please please pray for my friend’s baby, Madison. She is 2 1/2 months old, and was born on my birthday this year - I have a special love for this little girl, I knew she would be born that day! On Tuesday she will have a cat-scan because the doctor thinks she has a condition called Sagital Craniosynotosis (I probably spelled that wrong.) which would cause her to need a major skull surgery. The condition is dangerous and could cause vision loss, low IQ, bad mental development, hearing loss, etc. It was really hard for my friend to have a baby and she finally did - shes a tiny, beautiful, human life that deserves to live it like we do! Please keep her, her health, and her parents in your prayers!

Well Tumblr, tomorrow I will leave for Florida for two weeks! Until the 24th, my posts may be minimal, (or not!) but be patient! I will have plenty of pictures of my first experience at Disney world (yes, I’m 20 and I’ve never been), and my time with my friend Shannon and both of our family members who live there. Pray for me to keep regular with my prayer life through out these two weeks! (:

As I’m going into my junior year of college, I want to look at grad programs for theology so I can apply right away my senior year..There is a GREAT service learning, Theology Masters program through Notre Dame in Indiana called “Echo”, where you are placed in a Diocese to live in community and work in pastoral services during the year, and take masters classes in the summer at ND, receive a stipend, and tuition free…has anyone heard of it, and any other programs like this one? There has to be more than one!
